What does Gap Saudi Arabia charge for delivery, and how quickly will my order arrive?

Standard shipping costs nothing to any city and generally takes between 2 and 5 working days. Riyadh shoppers can also get 2-hour delivery, but only on some products, which are marked on the product page and confirmed at checkout; the charge is SAR 50, waived when the order reaches SAR 400 or more.

Depending on the time you order, Riyadh and Jeddah can also get delivery on the same day or the following one. The help page and the page covering delivery and returns give different same-day fees, though: one makes it free for orders placed before 8 PM, while the other quotes SAR 30 for Riyadh orders placed ahead of 6 PM. Rely on the amount shown at checkout. Some points to note before ordering:

  • Orders are delivered inside Saudi Arabia only, and never to P.O. boxes.
  • Before dispatch, a text asks you to check and confirm your address, and a second one with a tracking link arrives once the courier is on the way.
  • Not home when the courier arrives? They will contact you to set up a new time.

Which payment methods does Gap accept, and can I use Tabby or Tamara installments?

Gap's Saudi help page lists three ways to pay: a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or instalments through Tabby or Tamara.

That list leaves out cash on delivery, yet the refund page talks about cash orders and says they are refunded as store credit, emailed to you as a code. If a cash option does show up in your cart, any refund on it will be credit toward later purchases rather than money.

What is the Gap return period, and how do I send an order back?

Returns are free within 30 days of receiving your order. Log in and pick the return option beside the order, or speak to customer care; Gap's delivery partner will then reach out and collect the parcel, which the help page says happens in between 3 and 5 working days. Returning more than one piece from the same order? Put them all in a single parcel.

Items must be returned in their original state: not worn or washed, tags still on, packed as it came and accompanied by the invoice. For hygiene reasons, the following are excluded from both returns and exchanges:

  • Earrings and any jewellery for piercings.
  • Bodysuits and underwear.
  • Swimwear whose hygiene seal has been taken off.
  • Tights and socks after the pack has been opened.

How long does a Gap refund take?

After your return arrives and passes inspection, Gap emails its approval and refunds you through the payment method you used:

  • Card: between 5 and 7 working days according to the help page; the page covering delivery and returns says your bank may need as long as ten working days.
  • Tabby or Tamara: an in-app notification arrives no more than 24 hours after the refund is processed, and the money appears in your account in between 5 and 7 working days.
  • Cash on delivery: the refund comes as store credit, a code emailed to you for your next online orders.

Can I swap sizes or cancel an order with Gap?

Online orders cannot be exchanged, whether on the website or at a branch. Send the item back, get your money refunded, and then place a fresh order for the right size or colour.

On cancellation, the help page states that a placed order can be neither amended nor cancelled, whereas the page covering delivery and returns asks you to contact them quickly so they can cancel it if processing has not started. So get in touch right away after a change of heart, and if the order has already left, take delivery and return it later.

How do I earn MUSE points at Gap, and what is the Gap app offer?

Gap takes part in the MUSE points program. When registering, connect your MUSE and Gap accounts through the join MUSE or link account option, then confirm with the code texted to your phone. From then on, online orders earn points, and in stores you share your MUSE details when paying. You can then pay with points, either online at checkout or at the till.

If an order earned you no points because the accounts were not linked, the customer care team is able to add them, and according to the help page points from a purchase become spendable at most 30 days after it is made. Gap's site additionally promotes 15% off the first order placed through the Gap app after downloading it. For now, stores offer neither alterations nor gift wrapping.
