Resal pulls together value that is spread across different places, such as top-up vouchers, prepaid cards, travel miles and loyalty points, and converts it into a single riyal balance held in an in-app wallet. You can use that balance on digital cards, phone top-ups or gifts for someone else.

Starting out takes a few steps:

• Get the app free of charge from your app store.
• Sign up using a Saudi mobile number that is active.
• Connect the loyalty programs you’re a member of, then move their points across.
• Use your balance on whichever cards you like and collect Resal Points as you do.

Open “Redeem points” in the app, pick the loyalty program, then type the phone number you used to sign up to that program and the number of points to convert; the balance shows up in riyals in your wallet at once. Resal lists Qitaf, Mokafaa, Mobily, Akthr and ANB among the programs you can top up from with points.

Another way to load the wallet is to purchase a Resal prepaid card in whatever amount suits you and redeem its code inside Resal. You can also go in the opposite direction and convert wallet balance into points with partner programs connected to Resal.

After signing in, look through the Resal marketplace categories, put the cards you need in the cart, press “Continue to payment details”, then select how you’ll pay. When the order is complete, you’ll find the cards in the “My cards” part of your wallet.

To gift a card, go to “My cards”, select it, tap the gift option and fill in the recipient’s details; they get it by SMS. Your wallet balance works for phone top-ups too, whether for your own number or any other, straight from the app. Be careful to enter the right number, network and amount, as the terms hold you responsible for any error.

Resal Points is the app’s rewards scheme. Every purchase made through the Resal marketplace earns points, and so do certain activities you complete. Spend them on gift cards, or move them into Alfursan miles or miles with other airlines.

With ResalPay, you can settle the bill at the till using your balance or Resal Points at approved merchants in Resal’s network. No payment is completed until you approve it inside Resal using a verification code. Resal states it will never request this code over the phone or by message, so keep it to yourself, even if a shop employee asks.

According to the app page, the main riyal balance in your wallet has no expiry, and every gift card carries its own validity period, which the app displays. Even so, the terms revised on 1 September 2026 state that redeemed points, as well as converted balance, stay usable for 12 months counted from the day of conversion, except where a given offer states something different. Balance that came from points is therefore best used without long delays.

Flights, hotels and events booked in the app are subject to the provider’s own cancellation and refund rules. Any balance credited to your account, whether topped up or converted from points, is final: it can’t be cancelled or paid out in cash except when:

• Saudi regulations require a refund.
• Resal’s systems are proven to have made a technical error.
• An unauthorised transaction caused by a malfunction on Resal’s side, not by carelessness on yours.
