Orders above SAR 200 ship free when they go to a city listed in Inhouse’s coverage table, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Makkah, Khobar, Dammam, Al-Ahsa, Hail, Hafr Al-Batin, Jubail and Yanbu. Outside that, anything weighing 20 kg or less costs SAR 29 to ship before VAT, while heavier items going beyond the covered cities are charged by weight, anywhere from SAR 200 to SAR 900.

Delivery times depend on your city and how big the item is, and they are counted in working days. The shipping page still shows the schedule written for the National Day period, which is over, and Inhouse has not posted updated times, so check the delivery date while ordering or ask customer service.

Free storage is available for up to 10 days after the scheduled delivery date. If you need to push back pickup or delivery, let customer service or the person handling your delivery know at least 48 hours in advance. Bear in mind:

• Confirming a date and then failing to accept delivery means a weekly storage charge kicks in once the free days end. It is 5% per week according to the shipping information, but 10% according to the terms.
• Beyond the first 10 days, storage can last 14 more days at most; after that the system cancels the order on its own and pays you back, keeping any extra costs.
• A failed delivery or a refused order gets cancelled no more than 10 days after it was shipped.

You get only 3 days. Items with nothing wrong with them qualify for return or exchange in that 3-day period after delivery, as long as they’re still wrapped, unused and come with the invoice; you pay to ship them to the Riyadh warehouse, and that shipping cost is taken from the order amount. Defective items have a 3-day window counted from the purchase date, and must be in original condition with the invoice.

After the item reaches them and passes the checks, there are two options: an exchange completed in 24 hours, or your money back through a bank transfer that takes between 7 and 14 business days. A defective item is replaced by the same product, with the discount you originally got; in other cases you receive something of equal value and pay the extra if it costs more. Cash refunds are not given; every refund is transferred to your bank account.

Unless there’s a manufacturing defect, none of the following can be sent back or swapped, so double-check size and model when ordering:

• Furniture, including sofas and sofa sets, bed frames, and recliners with their sets.
• Pillows that have been removed from their plastic compression bag.
• Bathrobes, sheets and towels, for hygiene reasons.
• Made-to-measure mattresses: their final size may differ from the order by 1 or 2%, and a difference inside that margin is not grounds for a return.

Website purchases can’t be taken back to a showroom, and showroom purchases (pillows, bedding, towels, mattress toppers and the like) go back to the showroom you bought them from.

Missing items must be reported no later than 3 days after the order arrives. Cancelling is allowed for 48 hours after the order is placed, but an order that ships during those hours can no longer be cancelled.

Cover begins on the day you receive the item and you need to show the invoice, either the original or a copy. Only manufacturing defects are included; misuse, incorrect cleaning, breaks, cuts, liquid damage and made-to-order items are not. When furniture has a defect, they pick it up from your home, fix it and return it, with repairs finished at most 15 business days after they pick it up. Key periods:

• Recliners: 10 years for the iron mechanism, 2 years for the electric motor, 1 year for fabric, wood and filling.
• Sofas: 5 years on the seat if it sinks by over 5 cm, and 1 year on fabric, wood and filling.
• Sofa beds, couches and beds: 1 year on wood and fabric.
• Mattresses: the period varies with the mattress type; cover includes springs poking through or making noise, and sagging deeper than 5 cm in the sleeping area.
