White Friday 2026 deals in Saudi Arabia

In the Middle East, Black Friday goes by the name White Friday. It began in 2014 at Souq.com, as a shopping event lasting four days, after the site's CEO swapped the Western name for “White Friday”. Saudi Arabia and the Emirates are its biggest markets.

The date is fixed to the Friday following US Thanksgiving, which in 2026 means Friday 27 November. Deals don't stop at that single day, though; they normally stretch over several days.

Stores brand the season differently. At noon it is “Yellow Friday”, at Amazon Saudi Arabia “White Friday”, and elsewhere “Black Friday”. The store list below shows how each one joins in.

Figures for 2024, published by Campaign Middle East, give a sense of its scale:

• Across the Gulf, White Friday revenue grew 40% compared with 2023, while purchase numbers went up 19.28%.
• Region-wide in the Middle East, mobile in-app buying on White Friday was 74% above the average for Fridays in November.
• The Kingdom and the UAE were ahead of the rest of the region on both sales and interest in shopping throughout the season.

When we last checked (1 November 2026), nothing official had been published about the 2026 dates. Past years do show a clear pattern, though: in 2025, noon Saudi Arabia's Yellow Friday lasted between 20 and 30 November (the same window as 2024), while Amazon Saudi Arabia's deals ran between 21 and 30 November, with Prime members getting a day of early access first.

Should that repeat, expect the major deals to kick off near 20 November 2026 and last until the month ends, peaking on Friday 27 November. Treat this as our estimate from earlier seasons rather than an official announcement.

Prime members got a 24-hour head start on Amazon Saudi Arabia's 2025 deals, which opened for them on 20 November at 12:01 am. Amazon also ran flash deals every day between 8 and 10 pm, gave an instant discount on eligible Al Rajhi cards and an additional discount to Prime members, and let shoppers split payments into 4 interest-free instalments with Tabby and Tamara.

In other words, when you shop makes a difference. A few steps that help:

• Set up a wishlist in every store's app and keep it to things you genuinely need.
• Track what those items cost from early November, so you can put the sale price next to the actual price beforehand.
• Switch on alerts in the store apps and watch for the timing of the flash deals that drop each day.
• If you subscribe to a programme like Prime or noon One, confirm your membership is live before the season opens so you get the early access.

Usually that isn't possible. Take the 2024 season as an example: Al Rajhi Bank offered customers with its prepaid or credit cards an additional discount on noon purchases during Yellow Friday. Shoppers unlocked it by entering a code specific to the bank at checkout, subject to a minimum spend and a cap on the discount set according to card type, with a higher tier for noon One subscribers.

Among the offer's conditions:

• It cannot be used alongside another discount code.
• Each cardholder gets to use it only once.
• Payments made through noon credit or Apple Pay don't qualify.
• noon gift cards and certain budget phones are left out.

Sales in online stores and physical shops are governed by Ministry of Commerce rules meant to cut down on misleading and fake offers, and the ministry carries out ongoing inspections to enforce them. The points most useful to you as a shopper:

• Before advertising a sale, a store needs a licence for it, and must put that licence on show so you can scan its barcode to verify it.
• The percentage off must be spelled out clearly (from – to).
• Price tags show the item's price both before and after the reduction.
• The store explains its policy on exchanges and returns for the length of the sale.
• Discounted products still carry the manufacturer's warranty.
• You're free to buy a product by itself, without being obliged to take the promotion that comes with it.

Generally, yes. The E-Commerce Law lets you withdraw from the contract during the 7 days after you receive the item, as long as the item is unused; you cover the return costs unless the store agrees to something different.

The right does not extend to: products made to your specification, newspapers, magazines and books, software and discs that have been used, software downloaded online, transport, accommodation and catering services, or faults resulting from misuse.

Heavy order volumes in the season can slow deliveries down. If delivery takes longer than 15 days from your order, or misses the date you agreed with the store, you may cancel and be refunded. Some stores also offer a longer return window in their policies, so read the product page before buying.
